An Attitude of Gratitude

An Attitude of Gratitude

This time we’re going to look at the power of being thankful, maintaining an attitude of gratitude and why that is important.

One of the fastest and easiest ways my readers have noticed huge transformations in their life, is through keeping a gratitude journal. It really is a very simple way to bring about incredible things in your life. There’s a reason why Oprah has kept one daily for years! An Attitude of Gratitude

Now, this is a topic I believe has been ridiculously overly complicated by people meaning well but seemingly making it a lot more difficult than it needs to be. The premise is extremely simple and requires very little effort. All you have to do is write a small entry every single day about what you are thankful for. You do not need a special notebook, planner or expensive app to see results from this. But you need to do it daily!

The magic with this whole process really starts though, when you start to fill in your gratitude journal with the things you’re thankful for, that you don’t actually have yet. Let me explain, I originally started my gratitude journal after I’d been very sick for a long time. At that point I thought I actually would never feel normal again and it was a truly desperate time for me.

I really had nothing to lose, so I started writing out every single day “I’m so happy and grateful for my perfect health”. At first, it felt so strange, how could I be thankful for something I didn’t have yet? But I persisted. For years now, that has been the absolute first thing that I write in my journal and guess what? I got stronger and stronger. I’m in the best shape of my life and I haven’t seen a doctor in years. I am so happy and grateful for my perfect health!

So, what can you do right now to get what you want?

Start writing out what you are grateful for today! This shifts your energy, it starts to mould your thoughts. Before you started this process, you might be focussed on thoughts of lack and what you don’t want. When you do this process, your intuitive mind starts to shift in a different direction. You start to be grateful for all of the things that you feel good about. Gratitude is the way to bring more of what you want into your life.

When you wake up in the morning, I want you to try saying “thank you” and feeling thankful that you woke up today. Run through your mind the things you are grateful for, as you start your day. The morning is one of the most powerful times to do this, especially when you’ve just opened your eyes, because you’re still in a drowsy, receptive state. As you do this, you may not realise it, but you are constructing the day ahead of you. This is absolutely the most powerful way to start your day.

I can honestly say that it’s my use of gratitude that has given me my incredibly abundant life. Gratitude is my way of life and I cannot even begin to get across the importance of mastering it, if you want any form of abundance or success in your life. When you are thankful for the parts of your life you love, you’ll start to attract more of those things.

If you let your mind be consumed with thoughts of lack and all the things you do not have, you’ll simply draw more of that negativity to you. There is always something to be thankful for. You may not be exactly where you want to be in your life, but you are in the fortunate position of having the eyes to read this and the brain to process it. Plenty of people do not have that ability. You woke up today, right? Be thankful for that!

How about you? What are you thankful for?
