The Original Multi-Use Product – Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant

This is one of our desert island items. It can be used to heal burns, chapped skin and as a lip gloss. It softens dry, cracked, heels, and has a multitude of other uses. I put it on my hands at night and wear a pair of white cotton gloves to lock in the product, to get fantastic results.

It’s fair to say this is one major beauty legend. Originally created in 1930 by Elizabeth Arden herself, it soon became famed for its skin-soothing qualities. Loaded with vitamin E the iconic peach-coloured ointment can be used on any areas that need a little TLC; knees, elbows, chapped lips, cuticles and even to keep your brows groomed and in place.

I’m only sorry that so many people don’t know about 8 hour cream. There’s nothing like it. It’s simply the best moisturizer that exists. I especially like to put it on my nails. Eight Hour Cream has been a favourite of ours for years. As I get older I use it more and more. I use it for my hands, feet, lips, and elbows. I have found nothing that works better.

This fragrance free version of the legendary skincare classic works wonders to moisturise and protect anytime, anyway you choose. Shape brows, revitalise shine, soothe dry hands and smooth cuticles and nails. Also for symptoms of chapping, peeling or flaking due to minor burns, sunburn, windburn, scrapes, abrasions or cracked lips.

No wonder it’s loved by makeup artists all around the world.

– Helps protect, soothe and moisturise skin.
– Soothes dry skin and provides anti-inflammatory benefits.
– Soothes and comforts minor weather burns, scrapes and abrasions.

The Legend

Created in 1930 by Elizabeth Arden to soothe skin, Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant became an instant and overwhelming success. What made it so effective is a combination of petrolatum, a skin-soothing beta-hydroxy in one of its first cosmetic uses, and vitamin E. The apricot coloured balm was so beneficial to her clients, Miss Arden used it to soothe her famous thoroughbred horses’ legs. Even its name came about thanks to a remarkable performance – a loyal client used it to treat her child’s skinned knee and “eight hours later” the skin was all better.

  1. I havent heard of this cream but with 8 hours moisture I need to, my face gets so dry and flaky, its embarrassing, Ive tried so many creams and oils but nothing works xx

  2. My must have beauty product has to be Guerlain Météorites Pearl Powder, they’re a tad on the expensive side but they leave my skin looking radient.
