We’re super excited to be celebrating the hotly anticipated release of new erotic fiction title Windsor Grace on Vivre Le Rêve. Keep reading for an exclusive interview with the author, Adeline Bond, alongside an incredible giveaway!
In case you didn’t already know, Adeline Bond specialises in writing hot, sexy, sweet and over-the-top love stories that don’t take a long time to get through. If you want something short, sweet & steamy and always with a happy ever after, then these are the books for you.
Windsor Grace was released this month, so I’m curious to know does writing energise or exhaust you?
Well, and I’m sure most creative personality types can relate when I say this. Writing is a release for me. I find that I always feel better after writing. Even if I start off writing in a bad mood, by the time I’ve relaxed into it and some words are on the page, I start to feel better. So, if I had to pick between just energise or exhaust, I’d have to say energise!
What is your writing Kryptonite?
Reality television! It’s addictive! I say to myself that I’ll just sit down and watch 10 minutes and the next thing I know I’m glued to it all evening.
What’s interesting about Windsor Grace, is that whilst it’s very explicit and sexual, it’s also very much a sweet love story underneath it all. Was that a conscious choice?
Yes, of course! There’s nothing worse than being invested in characters and following them throughout their journeys and then having something awful happen to them despite it all. That’s happened so many times to me as a reader myself, when it comes to romantic and erotic fiction. So I especially wanted Windsor Grace to have the ability to turn the reader on and make them root for the characters all at the same time. Knowing that it would all work out in the end.
Do you want each book to stand on its own, or are you trying to build a body of work with connections between each book?
Both! I have a stand alone title currently in the works, and there will be a follow up to Windsor Grace that will follow the characters even further on their journey.
You said earlier that writing is somewhat of a release for you. Would you say that you view writing as a kind of spiritual practice?
Yes, to some extent I do. I believe strongly in energy and feelings behind different types of energy. It makes me feel amazing to know that my writing is making people feel something. Whether that’s igniting a fire inside them that they thought had long been extinguished or just simply turning them on. I suppose it’s my small way of giving back to the world!
Do you hide any secrets in your books that only a few people will find?
Yes, I do! I personally love easter eggs in both film and literature so I couldn’t resist adding some myself.
Do you believe in writer’s block?
No, I don’t. I believe in lacking inspiration, that to me, is writer’s block.
If you could tell your younger writing self anything, what would it be?
Just keep going! It doesn’t have to be perfect the first time, but it needs to get on to the page. Stop doubting yourself and get on with it basically.
Personally do you think that a big ego helps or hurts writers?
Well, I’m not entirely sure about ego, but I will say that you do need to believe in yourself before anyone else will. And when I say that, I mean really believe in yourself, with passion, with conviction. Because, unfortunately, there are people in this world that will put you down, to keep you down, as soon as they see you starting to make it. It’s true that you have to have a tough skin in this business, stay true to yourself and take the opinions of other people as just that, opinions. Not everyone is going to like you or your work, and that’s okay.
Is there anything you have upcoming that you’d like to tell our readers about?
Actually I do! I can now confirm that Windsor Grace will be released as an on Audio Book on Audible later this year, which is very exciting.
And finally, is there anything else you’d like share and where can our readers go to find out more about your book?
I think it’s probably appropriate to reiterate that this is a very explicit erotic novel, not just a mushy romance. So is therefore only for mature readers. This book is part of an erotic, naughty and arousing romance novel. Things will get naughty and erotic. Find out what happens when worlds collide…because it’s steamy! You can find my latest book on Amazon here.
