Beautifully designed to be used in your home or at your desk, the Ember Ceramic Mug keeps your beverages at the perfect temperature from the first sip to the last drop. This is very much a premium product, it is not for everyone. It does feel and look very nice, and it certainly made me realise how much temperature effects taste.
I have to admit that it has saved many cups of tea, I do not like cold tea and drink way too much (especially chamomile), this has saved many cups from being thrown away simply due to being distracted by things that inevitably happen once you finish brewing that perfect cup of tea.
It looks fantastic and the battery lasts for over an hour for me without placing it back on the charging mat, so this equates to 4 cups of tea over 1 day for me. These mugs do need a lot of care. Yes sure to follow the instructions and do not use abrasive pads, this includes not using metal spoons, they will scratch.or any kind of cleaner except washing up liquid. Also be sure to clean it before it stains.
The mug does hold a fair amount of liquid, but those who prefer big mugs will find the ember mug is way short of those. In conclusion, I would certainly buy another if mine was lost or broken. It is a tea life saver for me and has probably already earned its cost in saving tea!
Originally, I was prepared to be disappointed, but I have had it a month now and I absolutely adore it. As a mug it is tactile and has a thin lip which is lovely to drink out of. I have had no problems with the app connecting straight away to the mug and operating smoothly.
But mostly I had not really realised how much better tea is at the exact perfect temperature. I wondered if it wouldn’t taste very nice from sitting too long like tea in a thermos, but it doesn’t. Now I can drink my tea leisurely as I work or whatever and it’s always perfect.
It would be great if the battery lasted longer, and I hope the ability to buy a second coaster comes soon, but overall I’m going to buy another for my office!
