Making your own pizza dough is super easy! Plus when you make pizza dough from scratch, pizza is one of the cheapest meals you can make. It’s freezer-friendly so you can always have some in your freezer, ready to defrost whenever you feel like it.
If you’re planning to freeze it, once you’re finished kneading the pizza dough, roll it into a ball, coat it with a little oil to keep it from sticking, then wrap tightly in cling film. Place the cling film wrapped pizza dough ball in a zip top / sandwich bag, label, date, and pop it in the freezer!
To defrost just place it in the fridge the night before you’re making pizza. The dough will rise slightly as it defrosts. If you’re in a bit of a hurry you can also defrost at room temperature, which will take a couple of hours. Remove the cling film from the frozen pizza dough, place it in a bowl and cover loosely with a clean towel as it defrosts.
