We’re absolutely loving these stainless steel straws in our house. Mindful of waste plastic I was looking forward to using these and I’ve not been disappointed. They’re a bit odd at first if you’ve not used metal straws before, it’s like anything new I suppose. I use these and stick them in the cutlery basket of the dishwasher and they come out nice and clean. For anyone who washes up by hand the brushes that come with them will clean them easily and effectively.
These are now in daily use in our house. Like most people we’re trying to cut back on our use of plastic. They look impressive and they are so easy to clean. I like that you get both straight and curved. These can also be used with both hot and cold drinks. My only concern was would the top be smooth enough? The answer is yes.
These straws are fabulous I’m so glad we got to try them out. I might actually get another set so we have enough for all the family. Very sturdy, no sharp edges, no nasty metallic taste. The cleaning brushes are just genius, clean thoroughly. Love the choice of straight or bendy straws, long enough to stand proud in a pint glass.

My top tips for reducing plastic waste are to read up on the subject. Look on a search engine as there are loads of helpful tips and tricks to drastically reduce plastic waste but we all need to be educated and the best way is to be proactive and look online for as much information as possible.
we try and do as much as possible
Buy fruit and veg from a local market loose and no cucucumbers wrapped in a condom.
We recycle everything, plastic, glass, cardboard, clothes etc… These are fab especially with the cleaners too!
wonderful straws for the environment and great for lunchboxes x
we recycle and reuse as much as possible, we try to buy as little plastic packaged stuff as possible, supermarkets are starting to improve, but very slowly. Anthony Harrington
Bit by bit – slowly replacing things around our home with sustainable materials – can be quite daunting to try and do everything at once
I think the best way is to convince the major supermarkets to reduce plastic packaging.
We use a sodastream now as an alternative to buying pop in plastic bottles.
we use lunchboxes instead of plastic bags and always bring our own bags to supermarket
i like to reuse all my plastics even marg tubs, and if not they go in recycling
I’ve got these straws at home, best thing I ever bought. But we’ve only got 4 and use them all the time.
Always recycle and make sure everyone in your home does so too! Also reuse bottles for water where you can xx
Buy reusable bags and not supermarket ones
I always use tote bags and never buy single use plastic water bottles
I always reuse plastic bags for bin liners
the 5 of us in our house all use metal reusable drinks bottles so no more plastic bottles of water and we also use a soda stream at home so no more big pop bottles
I am trying to buy what I can without packaging – e.g. fruit and veg separately rather than pre-packed.
