Tried & Tested: The Best Face Masks
We’ve tried and tested the current top rated face masks, from clay to sheet masks and here are the results. There’s also a giveaway of our favourite at the bottom of the page.
Merumaya Pure Radiance Mask, £9.99

When I applied this to my face it was tingly, which usually means it’s doing something. It’s a super lightweight cream that you apply thinly and dries clear. It’s formulated to restore a radiant complexion and it’s clear that the four active ingredients at maximum use level were certainly pulling their weight in this wonder mask. Perfect to pep up dull and tired skin.
Crystal Clear 10 Minute Glow Mask, £25.00

This peel off mask is wonderfully satisfying and really did make my skin glow. I tried it a week ago and my skin is still so good that I haven’t needed foundation, my skin looks better naked. My pores are less open, but my skin does not feel tight or comfortable – just clean and glowing.
Hydraluron Moisture Boosting Mask, £17.65

I’ve tried one or two sheet masks in the past and have always found that the serum on the mask is quite watery and there is a lot left in the sachet or it just drips off when you take the mask out, not this one, the mask is soaked in a thick gel like serum that stays on the mask. You apply to your face and leave for 15 minutes.
It leaves behind quite a bit of serum on your face and at this point you just rub it all into skin and follow it with moisturiser. At first I was a little underwhelmed by the results but wait, trust me, just wait. The next morning you’ll have gorgeous, luminous skin. So radiant. I can’t recommend this enough.
Fresh Umbrian Clay Mattifying Face Exfoliant, £30.00

We think this is the perfect treatment for oily skin. Not only does this mask smell fantastic, we also noticed a definite improvement after using it. Especially on the T-zone, our skin actually felt soft after using too. Highly recommended for those who want a wonderfully smelling treatment for oily skin.
Glamglow Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment 50 g, £33.00

Now, this one has been so hyped up across the internet, I honestly thought it was going to be rubbish and I wanted to hate it. But, it’s amazing. When you first apply it, it really tingles but in the best possible way. It’s texture is gritty but it dries super quickly and I found the results to be instant. Skin is left noticeable tighter and smoother. Like I say, I wanted to hate it, but it’s definitely worth the price tag.
In fact, we were so impressed with the Glamglow Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment that we have one to give away to our readers.

moisturiser
My favourite beauty product at the moment is a real budget find. My local Indian grocer’s sells Almond oil in the beauty section, £2 for a 250ml bottle. I’ve been using that instead of a more expensive facial oil and quite honestly it seems to do the job just as well.
Coconut oil x

Palmer’s Face Oil
I currently use Nivea Q10 day and night cream.
