To celebrate the release of the highly-anticipated Beauty and the Beast film, Town House at The Kensington is offering a special Afternoon Tea with a magical twist. This delightful Afternoon Tea, named Tale as Old as Time, complete with charming Mrs. Potts and Chip Potts dishware, ensures the perfect family outing or fun afternoon with friends and loved ones. And what’s more, due to popular demand? They’ve extended the afternoon tea’s run for another year – and it’ll be festive themed come December!
Yep, the traditional afternoon tea menu has been recreated to pay homage to the original 1991 animation and include various savoury and sweet treats inspired by characters and scenes from the film. So if you’ve had enough English cucumber finger sandwiches and scones to last a life-time, and fancy something a little different – then be our guest! As an alternative to scones, the Town House’s Beauty and the Beast-themed afternoon tea will be offering Marie’s Sweet Brioche Baguettes, referring to the local baker from Belle’s poor provincial hometown in the film, as well as Lumiere’s recommendation of Try the Grey Stuff White Chocolate Mousse.
The Tale as Old as Time Afternoon Tea Menu is available daily until 30th June 2018, from Monday – Sunday from 12pm to 6pm. It’s priced at £35 per person or £45 with a glass of Champagne until the end of this year, but the price goes up in 2018 to £38.50 per person or £50 with a glass of champagne.
A special Christmas version of the tea will be served from 1-31 December (at a cost of £38.50 per person or £50 with a glass of champagne). The menu will be given a festive twist, with the addition of roast turkey and cranberry stuffing sandwiches, Orange pudding en flambe and Cogsworth chocolate mince pie.
