I’ve been in search of the perfect boot for a long time, I wanted the type that can be worn with a pair of jeans or a skirt as well as keep my feet warm. For example, at work I am on my feet most of the day as well as inside/outside with the dogs. So a versatile pair of boots appropriate for indoors and outdoors that can be worn with jeans or something more professional was what I was seeking. Sounds easy right? Nope. In recent years, I’ve settled for Uggs, I have them in all different colourways but couldn’t help but feel like I’d grown out of them a bit. In essence I was looking for something a little more grown up and put together.
Every style-conscious woman knows long boots are the only boots to be seen in this season. On all the catwalks every model was wearing footwear on or above the knee. But finding the right pair can be difficult. Some are baggy, others too tight. And if you find boots that look great with a skirt, they could be a disaster over jeans. The secret is to hunt down styles that work with your legs, rather than cram into on-trend boots that don’t suit you.
You see knee length boots are flattering on all body shapes, it’s still the length of choice for many women on cold winter days, this is generally a flattering length for all women depending on how you wear them. They’re also spectacular for women with very long legs because you can shorten the appearance of the leg by wearing them over leggings or jeans. The classic riding boot offers a very wearable way to dress down a dress or skirt, this style I would recommend more for casual daytime looks and general grumbly English Autumn / Winter weather. For most women, black is the colour boot you’ll wear the most. But cognac brown goes with EVERYTHING and generally looks more expensive.
Inspired by the English countryside and classic equestrian footwear, the style of the Sandra boot is timeless. The tall height gives a flattering, leg lengthening appearance, whilst the tracked rubber sole adds stability and durability. Fashioned from sumptuously supple leather, the new Sandra boot is perfect for all weathers. Soft suede paneling adds detail around the middle with subtle stitching adding to the design. Lined with deliciously plush Morlands sheepskin, the ultimate indulgence for overworked feet. The leather on these beauties is beautifully soft and supple and it is pure bliss to sink your feet into the fleece lining. The Sandra boot is 17” high including a 1” heel with a mid-calf measurement of 16”.
Legend says that these sheepskin boots are so well made that you can go without socks even in the snow and your feet are still snugly warm, I’m looking forward to finding out over the coming months. Try them for yourself, Morlands products are indeed an investment, not just a purchase.
How cool us that – looks amazing
