Clinique’s new Moisture Surge with activated aloe water helps skin create its own internal water source. This moisturiser is, without a doubt, the best one I’ve ever tried. It is pricey, but the product is worth it. I suffer from sensitive skin and this works brilliantly. The moisturiser is gentle and caring on the skin and really hydrates and softens. I use once a day in the evening after cleansing and in a week it’s pretty much sorted my skin, I do have to wonder if anyone else has noticed- when applying I tend to catch my lips inadvertently and as a result my lips have actually plumped out!
Why We Love It…
The original formula felt great when applied but I only ever used it as a base for the Moisture Surge CC Cream. Without the addition of the CC cream my skin would start to feel a little tight after a while, but the combination worked very well. However, the new 72-hour version is amazing. My skin feels extremely hydrated and stays that way, even overnight. As an added bonus it still works well with the CC cream. Other moisturisers leave my skin looking shiny when the CC cream is added, but not with either of the Moisture Surge moisturisers.
I do find that I have to reapply a coat after using an exfoliator or mask as it sinks into my skin so well. It is so light and quickly absorbed. I don’t recommend using a face mask as I find it absorbs too quickly for that but it is fine to apply over make up. My skin has dramatically improved and I will definitely continue using this product. I was concerned about how it would feel during the night as other moisturisers I’ve used at night have made me feel sticky. This cream didn’t. I woke this morning and my skin is feeling so smooth and soft.
I am such a fan of the Moisture Surge and did not think the new 72 hour formula could be much better but it really is. My skin is so hydrated and and feels great, it dries quickly and leave no residue – I would highly recommend this product!
