Organised Family Life Hacks – Part 15
Planning ahead and doing a little bit at a time leaves a lot more time to enjoy yourself and just makes the general day to day running of life so much easier. You also can save money by being prepared through the year. Every Friday we’ll post a list of Organised Family Life Hacks that we’ve compiled over the years. If you have any of your own to add, please comment below. I’m really looking forward to seeing what you suggest!
- Buy laundry baskets per number of people in household, mark each with name, plus one for house. All laundered clothes are folded straight in to that person’s basket and that way, if you are late with ironing or whatever, everyone knows where to find their clothes without asking, when laundry is between dryer and drawers/ wardrobe. Household basket contains bed linen, tea towels, etc.
- When using fresh herbs, freeze leftovers before they go off in olive oil in an ice cube tray and then chuck them into things to add flavour.
- If you have fresh flowers in vases change the water every 2 days to make them last much longer.
- Sweet potato ‘mash’. Put sweet potato in the microwave for 5 minutes, turn over and then cook for another 5 minutes. Cut the sweet potato in half and squeeze out the ‘mash’.
