I bought this as a Christmas gift for a 7 year old. She loves pottery and making things, and as this was on a special deal at the time I thought it would be quite a good option for her to do at home, without having to buy too many additional materials.
The slab of clay that comes with it is pretty large, so you could make a few items. The instructions are very clear as well.
The clay is air dry so you just have to leave it overnight and then you can paint it the next day.
It is a great set, and excellent value. You will easily get your money’s worth out of it. I would certainly purchase it again for another child. I think it would be usable up until the age of probably 10 or 11, although you might get away with a bit older if they are really into art.
Novie Interactive Smart Robot – £11.50 (Less than half price)
This is a really cute little robot. Novie has various modes, from basic to expert. He learns by copying your hand movements.
The best way to start is to look at the Quickstart guide before you put his batteries in, as he is ready to go from the off. His on off switch is underneath, and on top, he has a pushbutton activation for his various modes.
Once you start to fine tune him, he can make some impressive moves, leaping forward on two wheels, for example.
He’s one of those toys which will probably be brought out of the play room to amuse adults at parties. He has a lot of charm and a lot of personality for such a little robot. Highly recommended!
