Why Everyone Needs a Vision Board!
You don’t have to search far to hear amazing stories of people who have used a vision board to bring about incredible things in their life. I can personally vouch for their impact within my own life. And even if you’re dubious, I urge you to try it. Start small and you’ll be amazed at what happens!
Only Include What’s Really Important
While no dream is too big for a vision board, it’s important to include the little things too – they’re what makes life worth living. Perhaps you’d like to spend more time with friends and family, start to be more positive and mindful in your day-to-day life.
Use Visual Reminders of the Good Times
Now, it’s time to put everything together. When it comes to representing your goals on the vision board, you can use printed images, affirmations, symbols or inspirational quotes. It helps to map our images first before sticking them down to ensure your board has a flow – but use the experience to get creative too; play with textures, colours and patterns to make it truly personal.
Once you dream it, the next step is to believe it. In addition to images, vision boards can include words, phrases or sentences that affirm your intentions. Try adding some Instagram prints from your travels or special occasions with your friends and family – having visual reminders of the good times can help you stay positive during stressful times.
Location, Location, Location
You should place your vision board somewhere you’ll see it every day. Want a super fast, easy way to get started? Use a magnetic, chalk or dry erase board! You can quickly add photos with magnets and then just write your affirmations directly on the board. This is a great way to do it because you can change or rearrange your vision board on a whim. You could even use a photo of it as the wallpaper on your phone. So you’ll see it as often as possible. Getting all those goals deep in your subconscious and on their way to fruition.
