Organised Family Life Hacks – Part 6

Organised Family Life Hacks – Part 6

Planning ahead and doing a little bit at a time leaves a lot more time to enjoy yourself and just makes the general day to day running of life so much easier. You also can save money by being prepared through the year. Every Friday we’ll post a list of Organised Family Life Hacks that we’ve compiled over the years. If you have any of your own to add, please comment below. I’m really looking forward to seeing what you suggest!

  • I put a dab of clear nail varnish in the centre of every button on new shirts. I’ve never had to sew on a button since I started doing that.

  • When peeling a hard-boiled egg, after first cracking the shell, use a spoon to get the shell off. It is the same curved shape as the egg and once it gets under the shell it takes it off so easily.

  • Keep a list of previous presents you’ve given to people so you can refer back and not buy again. I buy Christmas presents starting January and through the year of things that I know are always needed. My son always has new PJ’s at Christmas so things like that, to spread the cost.

  • Only buy socks the same colour. Then you don’t have to muck around matching them up.
