Organised Family Life Hacks – Part 3
Planning ahead and doing a little bit at a time leaves a lot more time to enjoy yourself and just makes the general day to day running of life so much easier. You also can save money by being prepared through the year. Every Friday we’ll post a list of Organised Family Life Hacks that we’ve compiled over the years. If you have any of your own to add, please comment below. I’m really looking forward to seeing what you suggest!
- Work out your supermarket specials pattern. Mine has certain things on sale every 6 weeks. I stock up then.
- Freeze leftover wine in an ice cube tray or small tupperware container to add into food. The end of a bottle of wine only lasts a few days. Frozen wine is a great addition to casseroles and gravy etc.
- You can get frozen herbs and ginger in some supermarkets- store in freezer and just use some for cooking straight from frozen. Saves buying too much and only using a little bit!
- Batch cook meals for children. One big pasta bake equals about 8 frozen ready meals for my son. Perfect for the after work rush or nights you are eating separate from the kids without you having to resort to giving them quick beige stuff.
