How to Roast Chestnuts
It’s that time of year again! It’s time to learn how to roast chestnuts. I absolutely love roasted chestnuts, they are just so Christmassy, delicious and super easy to do.
Ingredients
- 1kg Chestnuts
Method

Heat your oven to 200C/400F/Gas 6.

Cut a cross into the skin of each nut. Put in a roasting tin and bake until the skins open and the insides are tender, this should take about 30 minutes.

I think it’s cute to serve these in paper bags.

To eat, peel away the tough outer skin and the pithy white inner skin to get inside.
i have never tried roasted chestnuts but look really easy to make
Lovely! I absolutely love chestnuts but have never actually made them myself..I think I’ll give it a go, I love the paper bag idea
