This slow cooker won’t disappoint – It’s easy to operate with three settings – low for simmering and slow cooking, high for faster cooking and auto, which keeps food at serving temperature. The brushed chrome body has cool-touch handles and the 3.5 litre dishwasher-safe ceramic pot is topped with a glass lid, so you can see what’s going on during cooking. Great value and well worth a look.

This is a well thought out multicooker with a useful range of pre-set settings (smart settings, pressure cooker, slow cooker, reduce, sear, sauté and steam), which allow you to cook a variety of foods without relying on guesswork to get the best results. The pressure-cook and slow-cook settings offer a useful range of food options with pre-set cooking times and temperature/pressure levels. It also offers the facility to save your own settings in its memory. We love how it browns the food effectively, without any sticking, and the deep sides contain all the splashes. It has a useful keep-warm setting that automatically comes on at the end of cooking. The digital timer is very easy to set and counts down remaining cooking time, too. We like how the exterior and handles remain cool during cooking and that it’s easy to clean.

If you’re looking for a slow cooker that’s great at turning cheap cuts of meat into tender stews and casseroles, Crock-Pot, with years of experience in slow cooking, is well worth considering. This 220W slow cooker comes with a 4.7 litre removable ceramic inner pot, large enough for a meal to feed a hungry family of six. This slow cooker has the added bonus of an integrated programmable timer that will automatically switch to the keep-warm setting at the end of cooking. Consequently, it’s easy to use and the inner pot can be washed in the dishwasher.
