Homemade Guacamole Ingredients
Directions
Homemade guacamole is so easy to make! Plus it’s so much better for you than any supermarket version. Store-bought guacamole frequently contains sour cream, added sugar, artificial flavours, preservatives, and a lot of sodium.
This is by far the best version of this classic. The ingredients are kept to a minimum, so it’s as fresh-tasting as possible.
In a medium bowl, mash together the avocados, lime juice, and salt. Mix in onion, coriander, tomatoes, and garlic. Stir in cayenne pepper. Refrigerate for 1 hour for best flavour, or serve immediately.
Delicious!
This will keep, covered, for 2-3 days in the fridge. If a grey layer forms on top just scrape this off and stir it – it is just the avocado oxidising and it’s fine to eat.
Tip: If you’re not using it straight away you can put an avocado stone in the guac and it won’t go brown!
