I’m going to let you all in on a little secret. I’m a bit of a snob when it comes to hair and skin care, In case you hadn’t already noticed! Ha. I’m the sort of girl who used her teenage Saturday job pay cheque to buy Estee Lauder & Chanel products, and shunned Superdrug’s high street cosmetic aisle.
I’ve used advanced night repair as a serum for at least the last five years. That is, until I started sniffing around for more natural alternatives and came across Jojoba oil (Pronounced “ho-ho-ba,”). And let me tell you, I’m not looking back. It’s a miracle elixir as far as I’m concerned.
Unfortunately, not all bottles of Jojoba oil are created equally, and if you’re going to use it on something as precious as your pretty face, you should, of course make sure that it’s the real deal. That’s where Eden’s Semilla come in, you see, their Jojoba oil is 100% pure, certified organic, cold pressed and unrefined. The wonderful people at Eden’s Semilla sent me a bottle to try out and I also have one of them to give away to one of my lucky readers!
There are so many ways that you can incorporate Jojoba oil into your hair and skincare routine, I’ve listed some of my favourite uses below:
Jojoba oil is fantastic for dry scalps, you can also use it to add shine and naturally soften your hair, or as an anti-frizz product.
Apply the oil onto your legs to soften the skin and provide an area for your razor to glide over. Silky results, every time!
Consider using jojoba as your daily facial serum, you can even use it as a lip balm!
It is divine on sunburn, heat rash, and other minor skin irritations. With the added bonus of reducing flaking and peeling of the skin.
Scar and stretch mark reducer
Scars and stretch marks can be reduced by massaging jojoba oil into the problem areas.
Acne Reducing Serum
Amazingly, jojoba oil also has anti-microbial properties and it contains iodine, which can fight harmful bacteria growth.
Apply a few drops of the oil right after a bath or shower.
Hair regrowth serum
Jojoba oil can also unclog hair follicles, which can in turn reduce hair loss and promote more hair growth. Jojoba oil’s antioxidants will also defend your hair from breakage, split ends, and future damage.
