Perk up your complexion
Blush is the fastest way to look radiant. Apply it on the apple of your cheek, sweeping up into the hairline. Lightly blend color vertically with a brush.
Define your eyes
Black mascara looks great on everyone and makes enough impact that you can skip other eye makeup. Work from the base of lashes to the tip, remembering to roll the brush, it’s definitely the easiest way to avoid clumps.
Finish with a gloss
Gloss is very flattering as you get older because it draws light to the face and makes your lips look fuller. Opt for one with a subtle shine in a shade or two darker than your natural lip color, or simply apply a simple glossy balm like Vaseline.
Hide dark circles
Applying concealer under your eyes and in the inner corners next to your nose automatically brightens your face. If you have very dark circles you’d like to cover, dot on a peachy corrector first. It’s best to use a small, flat brush and pat with your finger to blend. It’s certainly worth having a ‘wardrobe’ of three or four concealer colors, for times when you need extra coverage.
Get a boost with dry shampoo
Apply a short burst of dry shampoo to your roots, leave to dry and then use your fingertips to rub in. Tip your head upside down and give hair a shake, flip back and brush into place.
